Survey Site: Maximum Paid Surveys
Maximum Paid Surveys has earned THREE STARS and is NOT RECOMMENDED. Our final evaluation of the site — its survey database and general site organization did not blow us away, but the discounted rate at registration made up for some of the less-advanced site features.
Return Policy: 60-day money-back guarantee
POST REVIEW UPDATE 12/1/12: Maximum Paid Surveys is now offering its members use of the Surveys and Friends Members Area. This is very good news for current members as Surveys and Friends is our #1 Ranked Paid Survey Site. If you have not yet signed up with a survey site, our recommendation is to simply sign up with Surveys and Friends instead of Maximum Paid Surveys.
Maximum Paid Surveys was a well-organized site with several positive bonus features, and its relatively low registration fee helped overcome some disappointment with its survey database structure.
The Maximum Paid Surveys homepage had a little bit of every special feature we enjoyed on other survey sites. It included rotating customer testimonials along the left-hand side of the page and a Get Started Now link on the right. The main body of the page included sales information for the site’s program, a potential income calculator, additional customer testimonials, bonus offers, and a coupon code for 50% off the $89 advertised price. This dropped our registration price to $44.95. We selected the back button and were given an additional price drop as an incentive to continue with our registration. Our final fee with taxes was $24.70 payable by credit card or Paypal. This was a one-time only fee for unlimited access.
Once our payment was made, we were led through a series of sales pages offering us the opportunity to upgrade with VIP bonus materials. We bypassed these offers and landed on an order confirmation screen where we completed our order. Upon completion, we were taken to a welcome page where we registered our name and email address. We liked the unique password feature of this site. In order to login to the Member’s Area, we only had to enter the email address we registered with the site, meaning one less online password for us to have to remember.
Our next stop was the Member’s Area of the site. The link to the login page was buried at the very bottom of the main homepage, so anyone using the site would save themselves some time by bookmarking the link for the login page. Once we logged into the Member’s Area, a short video launched selling additional member bonuses. We focused on the two rows of tabs along the top of the page instead. The bottom row of tabs included only additional bonus and sales features, so we made the most use of the tabs on the top row.
The top row of tabs included five different links. The Welcome tab opened a welcome letter from the site’s proprietor, Kim Robbins. The First Step tab included a four-minute video demonstrating the site’s features and functions, along with instructions on how to download and use Roboform. The bottom of this page also included a link to download the Maximum Paid Surveys Starter Guide. The Instant Surveys tab included a list of instant survey sites currently available, complete with the company name, country of origin, bonus dollar amount, and sign up link. All links worked and were directed to common survey sites we have seen before. The All Surveys & Focus Groups tab took us to the main survey database, where we were asked to select our country before being directed to the appropriate database. The VIP Member Products tab was the last one in the row and was a sales page for additional money-making websites.
The reason behind our registration with the site was access to their survey database, so we spent the most time in the All Surveys & Focus Groups section of the Member’s Area. We selected United States as our country and landed on a page with 112 links to individual survey sites. Although the site was well-organized and gave us hope that there would be minimal bad links, we discovered 40 bad links in the database and no easy way to report them to customer service. On the flip side, for our $24 investment, we were given access to 72 legitimate links to survey sites where we were able to register our information and start making money taking surveys.
Our final evaluation of the site — its survey database and general site organization did not blow us away, but the discounted rate at registration made up for some of the less-advanced site features.
